For the fifth year in a row, applications have increased for schools offering a nursing degree according to American Association of Colleges of Nursing. Unfortunately this continuing increase still can't keep up with the demand as over 32,000 students were turned away. Last year, the U. S. Department of Labor reported Registered Nursing as the top occupation in terms of job growth through the year 2012. According to the latest projections from the U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, more than one million new and replacement nurses will be needed by 2012. Students are either looking for other careers or looking for other schools. One resource that many students are finding helpful is the website best-nursing-degree. info . In many cases students are finding out about nursing programs within their area, but offered by schools other than their closest public university. One option that is growing in popularity is the accelerated bachelor nursing degree. This program allows students with a bachelor's degree in a different field to obtain a BSN in 12 to 18 months. This program has grown from 31 schools in 1990 to 168 today. The program is intense with 40 hours of class and lab time per week plus study time. There are usually no breaks between terms either. The cost is steep as well--$30,000 but many students are able to qualify for grants and loans. At the other end of the spectrum are part-time students that are looking to change careers or need to work full-time. These students take one or two classes per semester and will take several years beyond the standard 4 to complete their degree. The payoff? Starting salaries from $45,000 and up. There is of course more advancement to the levels of nurse practitioners and graduate degrees. With demand continuing to outpace supply, all types of students that are interested in the field are encouraged to begin pursuing a nursing degree by viewing the resources at best-nursing-degree. info

Baseball sunglasses and sports eyewear
Baseball sunglasses are as important as any other protective bodywear in a game. Sports sunglasses are indispensable in daylight games. Without them, trying to catch a ball, particularly a ball hit up high, can be difficult. The sun in your eyes can cause eyestrain and increase the chance that the ball will be missed. According to Prevent Blindness America, more than 40,000 people a year suffer sports-related eye injuries. Sports eyewear comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. Many baseball sunglasses come with lenses that are optimized to eliminate glare and enhance vision, particularly on sunny days. Many baseball players prefer wearing amber sunglasses, even though the lenses aren't necessarily amber. More often than not, they are either a mirrored type with also known as REVO coating, brown or gray. Polarized lenses are also a plus as they decrease glare and eye strain. UV protection (ultraviolet ray protection) is also a necessity when selecting good eyewear. Another important feature of sports eyewear is their ability to shield players from serious injury. A thrown or batted baseball can travel at very fast speeds, and the injuries they can cause can be potentially serious. Because of this, it is recommended that baseball players choose sports sunglasses with polycarbonate lenses, which are able to withstand the impact of a baseball and are virtually shatterproof. Some baseball sunglasses have designs that allow the lens can be changed to suit the lighting condition of a particular game. Also, many versions incorporate a wraparound profile that provides a better field of vision. Others allow for different colored lenses to be swapped out. As protective gear, baseball sunglasses can enhance a player's performance and help prevent eye injuries caused by either sunlight or an errant ball. And last, but certainly not least, sports sunglasses are a stylish and lightweight accessory on the field.
How to bet on the superbowl
Since the SuperBowl is the last game of the season you have an advantage that you do not have during the beginning of the season. With 2 weeks to go till the SuperBowl we know that the Indianapolis Colts and the Chicago Bears will be the ones representing their divisions in the biggest game of the year. Many people like to bet on sports to make them more exciting, and the SuperBowl is no exception. It is common for many offices to have a SuperBowl Pool, and it is very common for friends to bet on the outcome of the game with each other, it just increases the fun of watching the game, but how do you know who to bet your money on? There is no guaranteed way to know who will win without cheating, but comparing the states can help in making an informed decision. There are many things to take into account: Some teams have a great passing game; some teams are strongest on the run, so you have to look at whom are they playing and what is there defense best against. If you have a team that has a great running back, and the defense is weak against the run then that is a definite advantage to the team that likes to run the football. The location of the game is also important the SuperBowl is always played in a Domed stadium so the weather is not usually a major factor in the SuperBowl but, if the stadium has Astroturf as apposed to real grass then that can effect a team, lets say one team has turf in their home stadium and he other team has grass, then this can be an advantage to the team who has turf. The physical and mental state of the players must also be taken into account before placing a bet on the SuperBowl or any sporting evente the playoffs many teams have players on the injured list, but many players will try to come back for the playoffs to help their team, but often this backfires because they may not be playing at 100% and can re-injure themselves so that they are playing hurt during the big game. This means they will not be playing at their best, and this gives an advantage to the opposite team. The mental state of the players can affect a players even more then an injury can. If a player is playing hurt he still has his head in the game, but a player with marriage or financial problems is not concentrating on the game, they may be thinking of their own problems. This can cause a player to drop balls or make stupid mistakes. After researching all these issues you will start to form a picture in your head of who is the better team going into the SuperBowl, and this will allow you to make an educated guess as to who will win. Remember this guide will only help improve your odds of winning they are not a guarantee that you will pick all the winners.

What accounting software should you use
Accounting is the measuring, and disclosure or provision of assurance about information that helps managers and other decision makers make resource allocation decisions. How to become an Accountant. Accountants in the US are called Certified Public Accountants and in the UK and Canada are called Chartered Accountants. Chartered Accountants in Canada are expected to know all US CPA knowledge as well as a Canadian Accounting body of knowledge. In order to become an Accountant an undergraduate degree is required and then a period of articling is required which can take as long as 5 years with gruelling exams and an exhausting series of finals. In her notes compiled in 1979, Professor Linda Plunkett of the College of Charleston S. C., calls accounting the "oldest profession"; in fact, since prehistoric times families had to account for food and clothing to face the cold seasons. Later, as man began to trade, we established the concept of value and developed a monetary system. Evidence of accounting records can be found in the Babylonian Empire (4500 B. C.), in pharaohs' Egypt and in the Code of Hammurabi (2250 B. C.). Eventually, with the advent of taxation, record keeping became a necessity for governments to sustain social orders. Perhaps the most significant benefits to contemporary accounting has been the introduction of computer programs to assist in the accounting function..Computer programs were introduced in business and government organizations in the 1950s, and the most important applications of computers have been in the areas of record keeping, balancing , and transaction recording. Accounting uses various bases of measurement, mainly the cash basis, the accrual basis (or historical cost) and variations of these; all of these functions are greatly assisted by the use of various accounting software programs. Accounting is tied to the invention and dissemination of the double entry bookkeeping process. Different Accounting Software Solutions available today: ACCPAC web-based accounting, launched the ACCPAC Online web site in 1999 which allows end users to run ACCPAC from a simple browser for a small monthly rental fee. Intuit's QuickBooks for the Web represents a new product from scratch. Advantages; In-house control of everything but subject to limited resources.

3 In 1 credit report is car buyer s new best friend
You've researched the perfect car to buy and the perfect time to buy it. But have you checked your credit report and credit score? A quick review of your credit report online before you visit dealerships can save you both time and money when you are ready to make your deal. 1. Give that credit report a tune-up. Check your credit report early in the process to avoid embarrassing or costly episodes at the loan desk. • Get the facts first. Having your 3-in-1 credit report from TransUnion's TrueCredit before you shop for a vehicle allows you to compare and review your financial information from each of the three credit bureaus: TransUnion, Equifax and Experian. • Check the accuracy of your 3-in-1 report. If you find any mistakes, report them immediately. • Are your credit card balances high? Reducing these or paying off small debts can sometimes boost your credit score and save you money on a loan. • A few months of prompt bill payments can improve the way lenders view you. 2. Don't overextend yourself. Brand new sports car vs. used and practical? Before you decide which car is right for you, it's a good idea to see how much you can really afford. • After all your other bills are paid each month, how much do you have left to put toward a vehicle? • Do you have a trade-in or down payment? These can help you negotiate a better rate with lenders and can be especially important if you have problem credit. • Calculate your debt-to-income ratio by dividing all your monthly payments by your gross monthly income. Make sure to add in your expected new car payment. A ratio greater than 30 percent may be a red flag to lenders. 3. Do your financing homework. Applying for an auto loan doesn't have to be stressful if you arrive prepared. Consider the following: • Be ready to discuss your income, occupation, home loan and credit history. • To negotiate the best loan, check the rates banks and credit unions will offer you before visiting a showroom to make your final deal. With these tips and your credit report from TransUnion's TrueCredit in hand, you should be well-equipped to negotiate a better deal on your next car. Now, go get 'em!
Finding old friends through myspace
The MySpace community is a wonderful forum which allows members to make new friends. While most users of MySpace are aware of the opportunity to make new friends through their interactions in the community, some of them may not realize MySpace can be used to find old friends with which you have lost contact. Although most people have the best of intentions of staying in contact with friends, this often does not happen. There are a number of reasons including careers, family obligations and social commitments which prevent old friends from staying in touch. Fortunately, MySpace offers a way for these old friends to reconnect. Although there are countless ways for old friends to find each other on MySpace we will describe three methods for finding old friends on MySpace which are popularly used by members of the community. Let Them Come to You The easiest way to reconnect with old friends on MySpace is to let them find you. Joining MySpace and creating a website profile may be all it takes for some members to find old friends within the community. If you are looking for an old friend, chances are they often wonder about you as well. If this old friend is already a member of MySpace they may occasionally search for you by name, nickname or interests throughout the community. MySpace has a search feature which gives users a variety of options which can help them to find long lost friends. While this may seem like a passive approach to finding old friends on MySpace it can be very effective. It is especially effective when the lost friend is already a member of the community and is actively seeking to reconnect with you as well. Do Your Research A more time consuming way to reconnect with an old friend on MySpace is to search for them. This process can be incredibly time consuming and possibly fruitless or it can be extremely easy and rewarding. When searching for an old friend, begin your search by entering their complete name into the search feature and using the search by name button. If your old friend is a member of MySpace and has used his full name you will find him easily. There may be multiple results especially if your friend has a common name but you will likely recognize your friend when you come across his MySpace website. If entering your friend’s complete name does not return any useful results you can also try entering their nickname. Members who do not use their full name when registering on MySpace often use a nickname as their moniker. Even if they don’t a search of the nickname may lead you to your friend’s website if his other friends refer to him by this nickname in their comments left on his website. Finally, you can try using keywords related to your friend’s favorite hobby in searching for an old friend. This method is likely to be the most time consuming and may return countless result of those who share the same hobby as your friend. Make a Plea If all else fails, in searching for an old friend on MySpace you might consider making a plea for anyone who knows him to contact you on your blog or elsewhere on your website. You may find this leads to you being contacted either by your old friend directly or by someone who knows him and can provide you with contact information. This may sound like a farfetched search option but it is actually quite plausible. Many people enjoy the anonymity the Internet offers and are careful to avoid revealing personal details about themselves online. This may make it quite difficult for you to find an old friend on MySpace but it does not mean he is not a member. If he is a member it is likely he will find a blog posting on another website inquiring about where he is. This is because humans, by nature, can be quite narcissistic and it is not unusual for members of MySpace to routinely enter their own name into the search feature on MySpace to see if anyone is talking about them in the community.
How to give the gift of fine jewelry
Fine jewelry is one of the most luxurious and exquisite gifts that you can give for a holiday or a special occasion. However, picking out the perfect piece for a loved one isn’t always easy. Everyone has their own unique tastes when it comes to fine jewelry, so choosing a piece that the recipient will wear often requires full knowledge of that person’s style and preferences. The temptation is often to spend the most possible money, with the idea that the larger the precious stones the more beautiful the jewelry will be. However, more often than not, a smart choice is not always the most expensive item, but is the item that best suits the wardrobe and the eye of the person who you are shopping for. If you are planning to purchase a piece of fine jewelry, it is a good idea to make time for several trips to more than one store so that you can have the time you need to compare prices and styles across several different vendors. Before you set off on your shopping trip, try to make a thorough examination of the kinds of jewelry your intended recipient already owns. This will keep you from making a redundant purchase, but more importantly it can give you a guide that will help you choose the perfect piece or set of fine jewelry. Make notes about what kind of stones are most prevalent in the existing set of jewelry. Although many women and men enjoy having a wide variety of stones, it is often a good idea to choose a piece that will match well with earrings, necklaces, and rings that person already owns. If you discover a jewelry box that is already filled with rubies, for example, you would probably do well to choose an item that includes rubies so the recipient can wear the item with matching pieces that are already a part of his or her regular jewelry repertoire. Also notice whether the person you are shopping for tends to prefer single large stones that make a bold statement, or whether his or her collection includes mostly items that combine many small stones for a more delicate and refined look. If you are not terribly knowledgeable about jewelry styles in terms of modern versus classical settings, avant garde versus conservative pieces, or any of the other spectrums along which fine jewelry falls; pictures can provide a valuable tool in helping you make your purchase. Take simple snapshots or Polaroid photos of some of the recipient’s favorite items, and bring them with you when you shop. A salesclerk with a trained eye will probably be able to glean important information from these pictures, and will then be able to steer you towards pieces of fine jewelry that are similar in terms of style. This can help you make sure that the money you spend on fine jewelry as a gift is money well spent, because the more specifically a piece suits the taste of the recipient, the more often he or she will be likely to wear it.
Writing articles two aspects of the surge
Writing articles for publication on the Internet is, at the time I write this, every Internet marketer's favourite way to get free publicity for his website. If you are an Internet marketer and haven't heard the buzz that's going around about writing articles, where have you been? No, forget I asked, there can't be a single Internet marketer hasn't heard that writing articles is an essential part of website promotion. Suddenly everyone wants to be writing articles. Hundreds of wannabe authors are writing articles and flooding the article directories with items they have specially written for publicity purposes. Many Internet marketers are writing articles to a high standard but there are plenty of others who are churning out poorly written articles or ones that are no more than thinly disguised advertisements for their affiliate programme. I recently saw an article that claimed to be original but where the "author" had taken someone else's article and added a paragraph or two before putting his own copyright on it. It got published with the result that there are additional links back to his website and that's all he cares about. Prosecution for copyright infringement is unlikely as this article will quickly get lost in the growing crowd. All sorts of liberties are being taken in the name of writing articles, but does it matter? I am sorry to say the answer is no: as far as writing articles is concerned, anything goes. If you are writing articles to advertise your website, you can get away with poor spelling, bad grammar and boring subject matter. You can get away with plagiarism and even with cheating by having a robot writing articles for you. About the only thing you are not allowed to do when writing articles is use obscenities or incite people to violence. The torture of the English language is, however, widely condoned. This situation makes me sad because I love reading and I just can't help writing. I am not alone in writing articles because of an inner compulsion. If you have read John Colanzi's article, My Magnificent Obsession, where he says, "It didn’t matter who read my writings. I was doing it for me. I had to keep writing", you will realise that I am not the only writing junkie on the Internet. If you have never read this article, you can find it at my website; John Colanzi is one of my favourite Internet writers (one reason for this being that he is does not take himself too seriously). The idea of writing articles for the sole purpose of advertising depresses me, it makes me feel that writing is being devalued. Please don't think I'm saying the fact that I can't help writing articles makes me superior, I don't feel that way at all. Being a word addict is no more a matter of talent or education than being a drug addict or an alcoholic. An Internet marketer who is writing articles with his mind more on his resource box than his topic has just as much right to have his work published as anyone else. What I am saying is that this great stampede to be writing articles is causing our standards to be lowered so that we now accept spelling and grammatical errors as the norm and cheating at writing articles as acceptable business practice. Our unresisting acceptance of the lowest common denominator as our benchmark is the aspect of the writing articles craze that I detest. This lowering of standards in regard to writing articles does, however, have a positive effect in that a level playing field is being established for Internet marketers who are writing articles for publication. Lack of writing skills or the fact that English is not their first language need no longer deter Internet marketers from writing articles. If the current craze continues perhaps the article writing practise will result in an improvement to writing skills which would not otherwise have happened. Maybe writing articles will turn out to be the antidote to txt type spelling and that is definitely a good thing. When writing articles offline, the author's intention will be to communicate with potential readers but when writing articles for the Internet, the author's aim is to attract the attention of the search engines. Writing articles for Internet publicity purposes is tackled in an entirely different way from writing articles for offline use. When you are writing articles for the Internet, the most important thing is to include hot keywords in your article. The best way to start is to identify a popular keyword or two and build an article around them. As long as you choose your keywords wisely and repeat them frequently enough, the quality of the prose surrounding them is of little importance. Writing articles for Internet publicity is more of a mathematical exercise than anything to do with language skills. This is not as strange as it might at first seem: after all, Googlebot is a robot, not a literary critic.
Great technical writing improve your readers access with a visual index
OVERVIEW People are visual creatures. They look at your product, and see, for example, a button or display. They want to find out about that control or indicator. A Visual Index is a simple but powerful document access tool that enables your Readers to find the information that they want. This article describes the Visual Index concept and tells how to create one for your document. A VISUAL INDEX A Visual Index is a picture of your product or process with links to the relevant information in the related document. Using a Visual Index, your Readers can look at the picture, and quickly jump to the place in your document that describes the item of interest. Your document may include several Visual Indexes (the plural of "index' is "indexes" not "indices"). STARTS WITH A PICTURE The Visual Index starts with a picture of your product or process. There are various kinds of pictures to use, based on the product type: * Physical Product (for example, a barbecue or video disk recorder) Pictures of the product (all relevant views). * A Procedure or Process: A flowchart of the steps and decisions in the procedure or process. * Software Product 1: Screenshots of the software. * Software Product 2: Before and after images of the work that the product does. * Organization: An organization chart. LABEL THE PICTURE Label all the User-Product Interaction Points (U-PIP) on the picture. A U-PIP is anywhere that your User and the product may interact. U-PIP's include controls, displays, and relevant physical features of the product (such as handles, latches, etc.). Provide a meaningful (to your Reader) label (name) for the U-PIP. (Use that same exact label everywhere you refer to that U-PIP.) Aside: If your product uses sounds to inform the User, then include a table of those sounds, what they mean, and a link into the relevant area of your document (describing the sound). LINK THE U-PIP's TO YOUR DOCUMENT Up to this point, the Visual Index is just like any well-labeled picture of your product or process. However, when you add links into your document, the well-labeled picture becomes a Visual Index. The link should be to a section of your document that you believe your reader would most want to reach to get the information about that U-PIP. (This is a fundamental question whenever you create an index: "does my reader want to come to this place in my document for this item?") Your method of adding links to the picture depends upon the publishing mechanism for the document. If the document is published as: * A Printed document, then use page numbers for the links; * An Electronic Document, then use hyperlinks that a Reader can click on to follow. If the document is published as HTML, then the visual index can be an image map. EXAMPLE 1: A PAIN IN MY FOOT I have a pain in my foot when I walk. If I go to a website about feet, it would be very efficient for finding out about my pain, if I could see a picture of a foot with various areas where the pain could be. Links from the foot areas to specific web pages would enable me to find the information about my specific foot pain quickly. EXAMPLE 2: PHOTO CORRECTING SOFTWARE Show a picture with the errors that your software can handle, before and after correction. Here the U-PIP's are each of the photo errors. EXAMPLE 3: A COURSE ON WRITING USER DOCUMENTATION The Visual Index is a flowchart for creating the User Document. Since the Course is presented in HTML, the Visual Index is made from an image map, with hyperlinks into the sections of the Course relevant to each item in the flowchart. BOTTOM LINE A Visual Index is a simple concept. But like many simple concepts it is very powerful. Try to include one in your next document. You'll be doing your Reader a great service.
Head to head baseball results
The competition is fierce between baseball teams that are part of the American League and National League. These Major League Baseball teams have battled against each other many times, and one team always walks away the winner. Bragging rights get to be important after so many years, and fans sometimes have to look back on the head to head baseball results to figure out which team has shown the great wins over many years of playing against the other. Some fans have found that it is still possible to make money from a baseball game that was played in 1972. These sports enthusiasts can place bets in sports bars that are based on the right answer for the team who had the longest winning streak in a head to head confrontation that took place among two teams of the major leagues. The sports bettors might further their winnings if they can add a specific date that a game occurred between two teams way back then. The head to head results can also allow fans to figure out which baseball teams that they favor had the longest game in their history. They will certainly enjoy knowing who their favorite baseball team played against on that fateful day, and knowing what the final score was if they are willing to do just a bit more research on the subject. The results will even tell the fans how many innings that longest game ran. Fans can get very invigorated about the game of professional baseball when they are privy to information that tells them at a glance how many shut-outs were played by their favorite pitcher. They can take great pleasure in appearing very knowledgeable among their peer group by being able to spout off player information without looking at any reference material. When fans need information about a certain game or how a specific team performed during the entire baseball season, they simply have to do an in-depth search of the head-to-head results for any team, or for a particular year. The winners and the losers can all be found very quickly when a fan consults the head-to-head results for any baseball team they have a passion for. Every baseball fan would enjoy learning about which major league baseball team had the most runs, and what pitcher took historical credit for those runs occurring on a specific baseball team during a particular season. This information could change the way a professional baseball player's career goes because they might want to play on the same team as a record holder, and go down in history as the player who broke that record on a sunny afternoon at the ballpark. This information might inspire baseball fans to purchase season tickets for the entire family to enjoy baseball at its finest. This is especially true if there is a chance that a longstanding record will be broken at some time during the baseball season. The baseball fan will not want to miss any of the head-to-head action that might occur next year.

Facial flaws
When you talk about acne we're talking about clogged skin pores, or deep lumps on our face, chest, back, neck, shoulders and upper arms. These may be called whiteheads, blackheads, cysts or nodules. If you are a teenager you're probably going to get acne. In fact, you could get it even if you're as old as 40 something. While it won't threaten your life, it could upset your life by disfiguring you permanently. Even acne that's not severe could end up doing that. Hormones that change during the start of puberty are the reason you get acne. Sebaceous (oil glands) work overtime during this time in your life. They are generally reacting to androgens, a male hormone. Females have androgens too, though not as men as guys. A sebaceous follicle - a hair shaft inside your sebaceous gland - is the culprit. When you are in puberty the cells of your skin lining these sebaceous follicles start to shed more than when you were younger. If these cells stick together as they shed oil increasingly it probably is going to plug up the opening of the sebaceous follicle. The oil keeps building up, though, and with no way to get out it just makes that follicle swell up. This is an acne lesion. Bacteria exists normally in your skin and one bacterium called P. acnes multiplies more than it usually does if a hair follicle gets clogged. This is irritating to your skin and often inflames it. It can even make the follicle burst which then inflames other skin around that follicle. What results then are acne pimples, nodules and blackheads, commonly referred to as lesions. You may have heard some myths about acne, most of which are probably false. If you heard, for instance, that not having proper hygiene will cause acne, you heard wrong. If you believe this you could end up over washing your face or being too harsh in scrubbing it and you'll make the acne worse. Surface dirt and oil aren't the causes of acne. While you certainly don't want to leave dirt and excess oil on your skin its removal needs to be gentle, with light scrubbing and washing twice a day. Then you should simply pat it dry, again gently. You certainly can try one or several of the over the counter acne treatments or see your dermatologist if the acne is severe or the over the counter treatments haven't worked for you. No matter what you've heard, stress is not an acne contributor. Normal every day stress will not cause acne. While excess stress might take you to a doctor for a prescription to calm you or help you deal with your depression and that medication might irritate your skin, the stress is never the cause for the onset or exacerbation of acne. Of course, if the medicine seems to be the culprit tell your doctor. The third acne myth about acne is that what you eat affects your acne - that things like chocolate or pizza or fried foods can create acne or make it worse. Or that avoidance of such foods will keep you acne free or make it go away. This is not so. Yes, a balanced diet is good for you, but it won't affect your acne. Folks might also tell you that your acne isn't a problem to worry a lot about because it is only cosmetic. Acne, however, can hurt the way you feel about yourself, and it can leave lasting scars both physically and emotionally. In spite of what some people might say to you, that is a serious consequence of acne.

Playing winning the financial aid game
OK, you don't have a 4.0 GPA, you're not the senior class president, you can't throw a football fifty yards, and your SAT scores aren't generating letters or phone calls from Harvard, Yale or Princeton. So, you'll never qualify for a college scholarship, right? Not necessarily! There are lots of scholarships, and other kinds of financial aid for which you might qualify. Some colleges may offer you academic grants with a GPA of 3.0 and SAT scores of 1000. Ashland University offers scholarships to twins. Many church affiliated colleges offer grants to students who are members of their religious denomination. And that's just the beginning. If you are the son or daughter of a military veteran, if either of your parents work for a major corporation, if your mother or father is a member of a fraternal or civic organization, or if you are preparing for a career in a particular profession, there may be substantial scholarships for which you can apply, even if you're not a top student or student leader. Are you good at writing essays? If you are, your writing skills may be the ticket to a scholarship. There is even a scholarship for students who agree to abstain from using tobacco and alcohol while in college. You may even qualify for a scholarship because of where you live, your last name, your ethnic heritage or race, or a disease or handicapping condition you may have. Get the idea yet? There are all kinds of scholarships, grants, and financial aid programs out there. Some require economic need or have other restrictions, others do not. You can search through hundreds of thousands of possible scholarships (free!) in more than twenty different data bases. While you're there, you can sign up for a free email newsletter with articles on college admission, scholarship and financial aid programs, college survival tips, and income opportunities for college students. At another site you’ll find scholarships given by individual college to all enrolled students meeting the listed criteria. Student-athletes may visit one good site to find the information needed to secure an athletic scholarship (or an opportunity to compete in a Division III or other non-scholarship program). Don't forget your school counselor, as he or she can be a great source of information about local scholarship sources. In fact, most high school guidance offices maintain a list of locally based scholarships. Parents and students would be well advised to explore the range of scholarships for which they may qualify as early as the ninth or tenth grade so they can plan to meet the requirements of as many as possible. You should be aware that many private colleges offer substantial scholarships and grants in order to be more competitive with lower cost public institutions and/or attract students who might otherwise enroll elsewhere. These monies are often offered to students with very little or no demonstrated financial need. In fact, many private colleges frequently "rebate" 30%-35% (or more) of their tuition revenue in the form of institutional financial aid. When these funds are factored in, private colleges may ultimately be little or no more expensive for some students to attend than public colleges and universities with lower published fees. If you can demonstrate financial need, as established by your answers on the FAFSA form at fafsa. ed. gov , you may want to apply to at least a few colleges which meet 100% of demonstrated financial need and do so with a reasonable proportion of gift aid to self-help aid (loans and/or work-study funds). Take note that although some relatively small number of colleges will meet the full need of all enrolled students, many more will be far more likely to meet or nearly meet the full need of stronger students. To position yourself well to be a competitive candidate for scholarships, students should take the most challenging classes available, work diligently to learn as much as possible (not just to get grades), and get involved in co-curricular, community, charitable and/or public service activities. Here’s a good rule of thumb for all students; the more you have to offer the more you're likely to be offered. Remember three words - research, research, and research. The more time you spend investigating scholarship opportunities, the more likely you are to find scholarships for which you may be eligible. Don't let anyone discourage you. There are lots of people "out there," including some educators, who are inadvertently spreading their serious misconceptions about who may qualify for financial aid and what is required to do so. Most important of all, do not fail to investigate or apply to a college you like because you think it is too expensive. That is one of the most common and worst mistakes a family can make. Remember, you never know what kinds of scholarships and/or financial aid you might receive. However, just like you should have "fall back" or "safety" colleges in case you are not admitted to your first choice institutions, you should choose and apply to colleges that will be affordable if you do not receive the financial assistance for which you hope. Obvious as it may be, I feel obligated to remind you to pay attention to details and deadlines when applying for scholarships because so many students fail to do so. I could hardly believe it when an independent educational counselor who probably earns in the neighborhood of $1,000 for helping a student identify and gain admission to appropriate colleges asked (on an email list serve) how many words above the limit one of her counsulees could go on his college application essay. Don’t make the mistake that she did by assuming there will be no penalty if you "come close" to the requirements or are "only a few days beyond the deadline". If you don’t pay attention, be prepared to pay for your mistakes. But, do it right and you have a great chance of getting some scholarship and or financial aid help. Good luck.
Internet marketing your best new year s resolution
Do you make New Year's resolutions, or do you think that's "kid's stuff"? If you'll change your thinking from "resolutions" to "goals," the next few days can provide the perfect opportunity to get your Internet Marketing business off to a great start in 2008! Goals are tricky critters. If you make them too big, they're intimidating and downright frightening. It's enough to make you pull the covers over your head and hope for a more friendly dream to come along. On the other hand, if you make your goals too small, they're like Chihuahuas or Toy Fox Terriers--cute but not terribly useful (no offense to my fellow dog lovers!). Let's get a "Goldilocks perspective" and make your goals "just right"! Your Internet Marketing goals need to have several characteristics in order to work in your favor. If you want to actually achieve your goals rather than just answer the pop quiz about "resolutions" around the water cooler at work, take a look at the following suggestions. Write down your resolutions! That simple act will change your resolutions into goals. You have to do a little more thinking to put your resolutions into writing, and that thought process helps change vague, confused ideas into clear goals. Your goals or resolutions need to be attainable. If mountain climbing is on your wish list but you're not sure where to start, don't write "Climb Mount Everest" on your 2008 Resolutions list. Start with the attainable goals of becoming comfortable with rock wall climbing, rappelling, joining a mountain climbing club, and reading books on the subject. Regarding your Internet Marketing business, we'd all love to be making a million dollars by the end of the year, but you might want to zero in on a more attainable goal for the year. Look at how long your business has been in existence, how quickly it's growing, and what a reasonable amount of income might be over the next twelve months at a slightly increased rate of growth. Make your goals or resolutions specific. It doesn't work to resolve to "lose weight." How much weight? Pin it down! The same thing applies to your Internet Marketing business. If you want to increase your sales by $20,000 or $40,000 by the end of the year, put it in writing. Be specific with your goal. It's tough to hit a target in the fog. Clear the air by settling on a specific goal amount. Any goal or resolution can seem unreachable if you look at it as one big task. As one wit put it, "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!" The most daunting task can be brought down to size by breaking it into smaller, achievable goals. Instead of listing one big goal or resolution, break it down into twelve smaller goals. Each of these smaller goals should elicit a feeling of "I can do that!" when you read it. Your Internet Marketing resolutions and goals will only become reality if you take that first step. Nike's brilliant slogan, "Just do it!" applies to accomplishing your goals, as well. Nothing will happen if you sit back and wait to be inspired, or wait to be in the right mood. Sometimes you just have to pick yourself up by the collar, give yourself a little shake, and tell yourself to get moving! Resolve to do something every day to move you closer to your main goal. It can be something relatively small, but all those small actions added up over a year's time have the cumulative effect of reaching your goal. For example, if you want to read a certain number of books by the end of the year, resolve to read at least 10 pages each day. If you want to increase traffic to your Internet Marketing web site, resolve to write one article each week or blog twice each week or set up a certain number of Google Pay Per Click campaigns each week. Then make sure you're researching and working on each of these weekly goals on a daily basis. Combining two of the above suggestions will move you into the group of the world's most successful people. Statistics show that fewer than three percent of adults have written goals and plans that they work on every single day. When you write out your goals, and do something every day to achieve those goals, you move yourself into the top three percent of people in our society. Those are the "movers and shakers" of our world. They don't just watch things happen--they make things happen! You can, too, if you put your goals and resolutions in writing and make a daily effort to achieve them. Resolve today to make 2008 the best year yet for your Internet Marketing business. Then make it happen!
High probability selling for sales professionals turn cold calling into warm sales leads
: Like most sales lead consultants, I do not advocate cold calling . However, I acknowledge that cold calling is necessary at times. You need prospective clients and customers: If you don't have a customer list from which to solicit referrals, and you also lack an advertising/marketing budget, cold-calling to a highly targeted list is the fastest route to finding high probability prospects. A High Probability Prospect is one who wants, needs, can afford, and is ready to buy your product or service - now. Those who only want, need, and can afford - but are not ready to buy now - are prospects that you will not meet with now. But, you will continue to contact in the future, until they are ready to buy. How does Cold Calling fit into High Probability Prospecting? Before picking up the phone, you need to define your target market. Your target markets are consumers and/or companies who are likely to want your product or service. If you haven't gone through the exercise of defining your target market, start by making a list of your best customers: What characteristics do they share? Are they in similar industries? Are they companies of about the same size, or in the same vertical markets? In B2C sales, look for similar socio-economic factors. Your prospect list, whether you've created it yourself or purchased it, is the basis of your prospecting campaign. Contact each person on the list repeatedly, each time with a different offer. In High Probability Prospecting, an offer is a succinct distillation of two features of your product or service. Every time you re-contact a prospect, present a different offer. When call your list, only first-time calls are cold calls in High Probability Prospecting. A truly effective prospecting campaign requires that you call the same list every 3 to 4 weeks, so after a short period of time, most of your calls will be 'warm' calls. A higher percentage of the people on your list will say "Yes" to your prospecting offer with each successive call. 5 Simple rules for maximum effectiveness and maximum efficiency:
- Don't repeat the same prospecting offer more frequently than every third call.
- Your offer must be no longer than 45 words, describing your product/service and mentioning two if its features.
- Your prospecting offer must clearly request a "Yes" or "No" answer.
- When prospects say "No," you say, "Okay, good-bye."
- When prospects say "Yes," you say, "Why?"
With practice, you should be able to make at least 50 dials per hour. You'll find an increasing number of High Probability Prospects - people who respond with 'Yes' to your offer - with each pass through your list. You'll be on your way to making appointments with people who are ready to buy what you're selling - right now. High Probability Prospecting doesn't eliminate cold-calling entirely. You will, however, make successively fewer Cold Calls and far more "Warm Calls". That will eliminate most of the Rejection associated with cold-calling. Thus, you will turn telephone prospecting into an efficient and enjoyable activity.
Affiliate marketing 101 303
Affiliate Marketing 101 Affiliate marketing programs are a great way to get income for your website, and a great introduction to e-commerce. The more people that drop by your website, the great your chance will be at creating an excellent income. Affiliate marketing programs are where a company offers to pay you a set amount for either a click through from your website, or a set amount for visitors signing up, or even a percentage of a purchase made by visitors as a result of being referred from your website. Even if visitors don't make a purchase immediately, almost all programs offer cookie duration, normally consisting of 30 - 90 days. What this means, is that as long as the visitors have the cookie in their cache, you'll still recieve a profit from the sale. The biggest amount of time in maintaining your site will be searching and implementing affiliations with various companies. Even though there's a lot of money in affiliate marketing, you have to take the time to search for the best programs. One thing that you may not be happy with, is the idea of other companies banners littering your website. If you use too many banners or links on any web page, it can confuse and help to irritate your visitors. More than one animated element on a web page can be very distracting as well. Affiliate tracking can also be a problem. Once you have applied to become an affiliate for a company, they'll usually supply you with a personalized link or code. It's very important that you implement this code into your page correctly, or you may be sending visitors to the company without recieving any profit. A majority of snippets in the code will contain a unique user ID, which the company uses to distinguish which site sent traffic. (word count 303)
Small business credit card the good the bad and the ugly
A small business credit card can help your company in many ways but of course, there is a downside if you do not know what to expect from your credit card company. Many people jump right in and apply for small business credit cards, get approved and start charging before they even read over the terms and conditions, that can be a very big mistake. However, a small business credit card can also benefit your company in several ways with great rewards and introductory offers. Small business credit cards can be very efficient, providing you with consolidated yearly statements of your company’s expense charges and aids in preventing employees from overspending. With a small business credit card, you will be able to use one single payment method and monitor your monthly billing statements. This will give you a list of all the expenses and you will be able to learn just what your company really needs to spend on a monthly basis and how to budget more wisely. You will be able to give your employees their own small business credit card for your company with a pre-set limit. This will ensure that they do not spend more than you have allotted for their department, but giving them a sense of trust for purchasing items that are needed. On the downside, a small business credit card is still a credit card, and any overspending or unnecessary charges on your part or your employees can damage your credit rating. With a credit card, no matter what kind it may be there is a tendency to overspend unless you have a pre-set limit and pay off your balance on a monthly basis. If you carry a balance, then you will of course be paying interest on the balance. If you did not apply for a small business credit card with a low interest rate, you may find yourself going in debt more than you had planned. If you do not make your payments on time, this will be reported to the credit bureaus. Usually this does not affect your personal credit rating but it can do some damage to your company’s credit and then you may find that some companies may not wish to do business with your company. No matter what you decide regarding a small business credit card, be sure that you find the proper credit card that suits your company with a pre-set limit for spending for your employees. If you are on an introductory offer be sure you know when it will change and what happens afterwards. If you have a 0% interest rate and it will change in 6 months, be sure you know what the new interest rate will be. This can save your company quite a bit of money and yourself many headaches.
14 The importance of a good design
The Importance of A Good Design Your website is the hub of your online business; it is the virtual representation of your company whether your company exists physically or not. When you are doing business online, people cannot see you physically like how they could if they were dealing with an offline company. Hence, people do judge you by your covers. This is where a good design comes in. Imagine if you are running an offline company. Would you allow your salespersons to be dressed in shabby or casual clothes when they are dealing with your customers? By making your staff wear professionally, you are telling your customers that you do care about quality. This works simply because first impressions matter. Similarly, the same case is with your website. If your website is put together shabbily and looks like a 5 minute "quick fix", you are literally shouting to your visitors that you are not professional and you do not care for quality. On the opposite, if you have a totally professional looking website layout, you are giving your visitors the perception that you have given meticulous attention to every detail and you care about professionalism. You are organised, focused and you really mean business. On the other hand, you should also have anything related to your company well designed. From business cards to letterheads to promotional brochures, every little bit matters. This is because as you grow your business, these items become the face of your business. Once again, think of the "salesperson dressed shabbily" anology, and you will get my point.
T stem initiative a boost for texas schools students
The T-STEM initiative was launched in December 2005 by the Governor Perry’s office in partnership with the Texas schools, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, National Instruments, and the Communities Foundation of Texas. The Texas Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (T-STEM) initiative is a $71 million dollar project to better prepare Texas schools students for success in college and the workplace. With the undeniable forward movement towards a global technology-based economy, secondary Texas schools are placing more emphasis on science and mathematics. Though many Texas schools already are doing an excellent job in these educational areas, the most common reason many Texas schools are graded academically unacceptable by the state is poor science performance. The second most common reason is poor mathematics performance. In 2005, only 72 percent of the students passed the mathematics portion and only 71 percent passed the science portion of the state’s required exit-level Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) exam. The passing rate among the Texas schools major ethnic groups was significantly lower. Only 54 percent of African-American students passed the math portion and only 55 percent passed the science portion. Hispanics did slightly better with 61 percent passing the math and 57 percent the science. The hopes are that the new T-STEM project will improve current Texas schools student performance in both areas by providing innovative science and mathematics instruction, as well as innovative demonstration sites. T-STEM will establish 35 small schools or academies, located in high need areas across the state of Texas. These Texas schools will focus on science, mathematics, engineering and technology instruction. From five to six STEM demonstration centers will be developed to transform current teaching methods for the Texas schools educators, as well as train and prepare teachers for these specialized Texas schools. Additionally, the project will establish a statewide network to promote a broad dissemination of practices throughout the Texas schools. Each new T-STEM Texas schools will include grades 6-12 or will be a high school academy that works with feeder middle schools. Each grade will have about 100 Texas schools students. The focus will be to create personalized, engaging and relevant learning environments. The enrolled Texas schools students will be required to take four years of mathematics and science with participation in related extra-curricular activities. An internship or project in areas related to science, technology, engineering or mathematics also will be required. Educators in these Texas schools will be required to work with institutions of higher education to foster partnerships, dual credit classes, and teacher training opportunities. Funding for the Texas schools T-STEM initiative is $30 million from the state of Texas, $20 million each from the Gates and Dell Foundations, $1 million from National Instruments, and $10 million from the Communities Foundation of Texas, which include leading businesses, foundations and individuals who underscore the significance of these academic areas to the future of our global economy. This information on Texas schools is brought to you by schoolsk-12.
My plumber. . . what a salesman
Copyright 2006 Daniel Sitter It all started with a leaking shower faucet, one of those mixer types with no markings or available seal kits from my local home products store. In the 17 years since we had built our home, I had no occasion to call a plumber until now. I opened the Yellow Pages to find a qualified, local plumbing house. There were quite a variety listed but one caught my eye right away, not because of some fancy ad, but because of their phone number, which was displayed in a larger font next to their relatively small logo. It read 732-DRIP. I did my due diligence and called three plumbing outfits, seeking pricing on my needed repair. It was once again, back to the folks with the unusual phone number. They were the ones that I would hire. The plumber arrived early the next morning right on time. He was a bit younger than I had expected, but had everything he needed as he had already been advised by the home office as to the nature of my repair. He was neat, clean and friendly. His van had their now familiar logo and phone number painted on the sides. He also had them embroidered on his new looking coveralls. He introduced himself with a smile and a handshake as I invited him in. Paul and I chit-chatted for just a minute, as I bragged about my plumbing prowess but relative inability to properly identify the needed parts. He chuckled and asked for the whereabouts of the problem shower faucet. I offered him a cup of coffee which he graciously accepted on his way up the stairs, being so very careful not to bang his toolbox or spill the coffee. I showed him the shower stall and let him go about his business. Paul came downstairs about 20 minutes later with the faulty, 17 year-old parts in hand. He also handed me the empty parts container so that I would know what to order from him if we had need of additional parts for the two other faucets located in the other bathrooms. He explained exactly what he did and reminded me of their unconditional two-year warranty. I gladly signed his work order and handed him his payment. He shook my hand and handed me a refrigerator magnet as well as several business cards. He asked me to please keep him in mind for other repairs that might come up as well as if I would pass his business card to some of our neighbors. With that, he was on his way. Nobody likes to pay for home repairs. A few people may tackle the job on their own, but most will call in an expert. Paul is indeed that expert. He is also quite the salesman for his company. He did everything right, including fixing my shower problem. I’ll never need to consult the phone book for a plumber again. He is an impressive young man and his company should be proud of him. In fact, they are! You see, I called their office after he left to commend this young plumber on his professionalism and skills. I reported to the owner that Paul was on time and well prepared. He was neat and clean, dressed in a company uniform. I commented on his handshake, friendliness, careful nature and warm smile. I told this company owner of his employees’ commanding knowledge of the project at hand as well as his review of the job and reminder of their impressive warranty. Paul made it easy for me to order additional parts without incurring the cost of another service call and asked for referrals before he left. He was all too aware that the other homes in our neighborhood were approximately the same age. All in all, quite an impressive salesman… especially for a plumber!
Deceptive diagnosis
The book, Deceptive Diagnosis: When Sin is Called Sickness, explores the major shift in how Christian evangelicals view and deal with sin. The authors, Dr. David Tyler and Dr. Kurt Grady, believe that the Church stopped calling sinful and deviant behavior “sin,” and started calling it “sickness” beginning in the mid 1960’s. The sexual sinner Apostle Paul wrote about became the sex addict. The thief became the kleptomaniac. The drunkard became the alcoholic. The rebellious child became afflicted with “Oppositional Defiant Disorder.” A family in which the husband will not work, the wife will not keep the home, and the children will not obey is no longer considered sinful; it is dysfunctional. The liar became a compulsive liar. The gambler became a compulsive gambler. The “deeds of the flesh, which are immorality impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing” (Galatians 5:19-21) were all redefined using psychopathological words. Tyler and Grady believe the landscape of evangelicalism today is very disturbing. Christians have jettisoned their commitment to the Bible and embraced psychology. Biblical definitions and categories have changed and a new vocabulary has emerged within the Church. Behaviors and attitudes once regarded as sinful have undergone a dramatic change. Sin is called sickness and confessing sin has been replaced with recovering from sickness. The word “sin” has nearly disappeared from our vocabulary. As such, the impact of the Gospel to a non-believer is less pronounced and the need for progressive sanctification in the believer is minimized. Although we try to make ourselves feel better by calling sin by another name, it is always there. It never fully goes away. “Deceptive Diagnosis” claims that in 1946 the federal government took responsibility for promoting American’s mental health. Some of the initiatives included the National Mental Health Act (1946), the National Institute of Mental Heath (1949), the National Mental Health Study Act (1955), and the creation of the Joint Commission on Mental Illness and Health (1955). It was believed that American society would be dramatically transformed with the building of new mental health centers, the incorporation of training programs as well as countless locations disseminating mental health principles. On February 5, 1963 President John F. Kennedy delivered a national speech on mental health. He referred to mental health as the nation’s number one health problem. In order to confront what was considered a mental health care crisis, Kennedy signed into law the Community Mental Health Centers Act on October 31, 1963. This gave Federal Government backing to the diseasing of America and calling sin sickness. In 1977 President Jimmy Carter organized the Commission on Mental Health. The agency studied the state of the nation’s mental heath and concluded a quarter of all Americans needed mental health services. In the 1980’s an eruption of twelve step programs provided a disease label for virtually anyone who wanted one. The television talk shows capitalized on and added to the success and growth of the disease model. From Donahue to Oprah, common everyday people and celebrities alike pour out their heart-wrenching stories of codependency and other addictions, disorders and compulsions. No segment of society was exempt. Therapeutic holidays such as National Depression Screening Day, National Anxiety Disorder Day and National Eating Disorders Awareness Week were created. Local malls provided a convenient venue on these special days where people could be diagnosed and learn more about their disease. For those who were too busy to go to the malls, a program of mental health education and screening for early detection and intervention was available online or by telephone. The authors’ of Deceptive Diagnosis believe that if a person thinks he is morally fine though physically sick, he will not repent. If one’s bad behavior is a disease, he will not go to Christ for cleansing. If, on the other hand one decides to call sinful behavior, sin, he has made a major shift in his perception of reality. He has acknowledged, like the prodigal son, something is wrong with himself. Confession of sin requires responsibility on one’s part. Tyler and Grady believe that evangelicalism has opened its gates to a Trojan horse by introducing the teachings of modern psychology. Some Christian psychologists have become so beloved that to criticize them would be almost like criticizing the Bible itself. While their intentions may be good, intentions are not the issue. The issue is whether today’s Christians are mixing men’s ideas with the Bible. Amazingly, most of today’s Christian leaders who rightly cry so fervently against so many false teachings are saying little if anything about subtle shifts in biblical interpretation that undermine the faith of millions. In many cases, it reflects a lack of awareness and understanding of the teachings of psychology. The book states there is a tendency today is to forget the roots and ignore the essentials. The doctrine of sin is understandably disliked by the world. Moreover, what is alarming and tragic is the opposition Christians have for the doctrine of sin. There was a time when sin was clear and definite. But who can say that is true today? Vagueness characterizes what we think of sin. Sin is sin, but it is sickness too and Christians must consult the “experts” who are trained in detecting these things. There is no clarity of view, no definition of position and the language is confused. In fact, any attempt to recognize a clear distinction between sin and sickness is branded as being anti-Christian and unloving. The apparent glory of Christianity today is in its vagueness. Tyler and Grady promote the case that labeling sin as sickness is seen nowhere more clearly than in the fields of clinical psychology and psychiatry. From the world’s perspective, clinical psychology and psychiatry are the answer to the mental and emotional problems of man. The word “psychology” actually means “the study of the soul.” Sigmund Freud, in what was lauded as breakthrough scientific exploration, cast aside the study of the soul and redefined psychology in terms of human behavior. Freud placed practical theology in the crosshairs of psychology through his underlying premise that man’s problems are based in man and are solved through man and man alone. He knowingly or unknowingly created a religion around man with theories that are in direct opposition to God’s word. Today’s mental health industry is largely built upon Freud; some 250 to 450 counseling theories are in practice worldwide. They are either directly Freudian, built from underlying Freudian philosophy or are built in opposition to Freud In man’s attempt to run from sin, he also reduced man’s lifespan thus sparing him from a miserable existence mired in sin. Since the Garden, man has continued to run and hide from God, shift the blame for his behavior onto others, and cover his sin so no one will see how miserably depraved he is. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) is man’s attempt run, hide, and cover-up. A collection of sins or sin-related behaviors have been composed into convenient lists, labeled as diseases, explained to the lay public using fundamentally flawed research tied to unproven chemical imbalances…and the list goes on and on. The authors believe we have witnessed a severe blow to the body of Christ as a result of the DSM and the disease-oriented culture it has helped to create. Believers everywhere they are sick, diseased, genetically predisposed to illness, etc. Those same believers have been led away from the language and direction of the Bible and into themselves. Progressive sanctification is a foreign concept to many today. Becoming more like Christ each day does not require medication; it requires submission, humility, reconciliation, forgiveness, and most of all repentance. It requires a steady diet of God’s Word, an environment bathed in His presence, and consistent work for His Kingdom. Evangelism begins with believers becoming sanctified and developing a burden for the lost. Those wayward souls do not need more therapy nor do they need an excuse for blame shifting. Dr. Tyler and Grady’s book challenges the worldview of today’s church. Statistics tell us church membership has been steadily decreasing year after year. Sunday School, which was once popular, has also been declining in attendance. Prayer meetings, missionary groups, and fellowship meetings in general are weak and feeble. Today, because of poor attendance, many churches have cancelled mid-week and Sunday evening services altogether or have limited preaching in favor of other activities where the activity is the focus and the gospel is absent or only alluded to by association. Mega churches are growing in prominence, but they are generally marketing driven entities short on doctrine and long on a feeling orientation. Thus, the church as a whole is declining in attendance and in its knowledge and commitment to Scripture. The authors believe that the critical necessity for an accurate diagnosis of a person’s problem is fundamental to solving, or curing, the pathology. If the diagnosis is wrong, the treatment is likely to be not only ineffective, but also potentially dangerous. Dangerous in the sense that the original problem is not addressed and that the wrong treatment carries with it the potential for side effects or other unwanted results. Psychology and Worriers Anonymous will not solve man’s problem. Psychology may help man feel better about himself, but Jesus is the only hope for his sin problem. Jesus Christ is the Great Physician who possesses the cure to the most serious, life threatening problem man faces: his inability to deal with his sin and separation from a Righteous and Holy God. The book “Deceptive Diagnosis” lays the problem on the front door step of the Christian church and it’s up to the church repent and turn back to the Bible as the sole source for truth.
The male enhancement market today
This is the 30th century and not just the 21st century. Many taboos of yesteryears have simply been washed away. With lots happening in technology especially in the medical field, people are able to enjoy the lifestyle that even their parents couldn’t. Earlier the market for penis enlargement was a very niche market and it operated by simply word of mouth. No longer is the case, you can seek advice from your doctors and there are many products and devices that can help the men lead a fuller and bigger life. Over the years, the range of penis enlargement products has undergone a massive change. Earlier the penis enlargement devices consisted of only dull pumps, weights and pills. But now there are many other devices available for the enlargement of the penis. Many men are quite comfortable with the pills and the creams that are available. There are many traction devices available in the market that helps to enlarge the penis. Sure they are effective over a few weeks, but the wait is worth it. Surgery is a controversial and an expensive proposition. Surgery for penile enlargement can cost upward of several thousand dollars. The potential fall outs are impotency, scarring and loss of sensation. Most men don’t feel that it’s really worth an option. Another significant issue is the fact that surgical procedures like the injection of fat have to be performed again and again since fat is absorbed back by the body, while injected silicone tends to migrate to other parts of the body. These factors combined have convinced men to look for cheaper and safer penis enlargement opportunities. Men like to please their partners. They want to brag with their buddies about who has the biggest of them all. At the end of the day, they want to see the respect in the eyes of their lovers and colleagues. Penis enlargement helps them to achieve it. Men and women are looking at new ways to please their partners and look great in bed and perform well. They also want to attract more lovers and a big penis comes really handy, whichever way you use it. The issue of penis enlargement has now come out in the open and men are no longer ashamed to talk about it. There are safe ways of improving the size and making it larger and broader. It’s important to talk to a doctor before you use any of the devices. There is a lot of stuff that’s readily available and you can easily search the net for more information.

They said asbestos was safe
Any material that contains less than one percent asbestos is considered non-regulated. Experts estimate that there has been an 83 percent increase in imports of asbestos brakes and brake material over the past 10 years. IJOEH provides essential background material for the fight for a global asbestos ban. To avoid potential exposure, only trained and state certified employees may remove, drill, bore, or in any way disturb asbestos containing construction material. Covering involves placing a protective wrap over or around the material that contains the asbestos to prevent the release of fibers. Until you receive the results, treat the material as if it contains asbestos. Usually it is best to leave asbestos material that is in good condition alone. Before asbestos removal, insist that the contractor apply a wetting agent to the asbestos material with a fine-mist hand sprayer. Health Depending on its condition, asbestos in your home may be hazardous to your health. Many of the largest manufacturers and distributors of asbestos products knew of the health risks caused by asbestos in the 1930s and 40s. Breathing asbestos fibers poses the greatest health risk. A person must generally be exposed to asbestos for a long period of time (10 or more years) before health effects occur. Some experts claim if managed properly the asbestos will not pose a health risk. Victims allege the companies knew of the health risks of asbestos long before they took it off the market. The only way to truly remove the threat of asbestos exposure and its dangerous health effects is to remove all asbestos from the premises. But unfortunately, when microscopic asbestos fibers are inhaled, these minerals can become a health hazard. While beliefs about the hazard of asbestos are polarized, researchers do concur that there is a health risk. Contact with asbestos has been found to present a much greater health hazard than previously thought, and should never be used in schools. Exposure There is no safe level of exposure, so contact with any amount of asbestos can be harmful. By not disturbing the vermiculite, you are reducing your chances for exposure to asbestos. Other people believe there is no safe level of asbestos exposure level and that any schools containing it should undergo a removal plan. High, short-term exposure to asbestos fibres can occur during do-it-yourself work. Potential asbestos exposure can also occur at schools, homes and public buildings if asbestos products have fallen into disrepair or become damaged.

7 Points in finding a home business
There is so much information online it’s amazing. You find something that interests you and you request information and then……you are never there. • Is it that you are bombarded with calls and emails? • Is it that you clicked on something but don’t remember? • Is it that you were in a different state of mind at the time and it’s changed since? • Is it that there is too much to choose from? Are you looking to make money but you think everything is a scam or it’s too good to be true? You have been burned before and it’s a very hard thing to get over. I know. I’ve been there. Or maybe you want to stuff envelopes or make crafts…… I’ve learned the hard and expensive way. I have yet to find a legitimate envelope stuffing company. If you find a craft to do they are very particular on what they receive. They are so picky that you never get paid and you are stuck with all these crafts. Data entry is another opportunity I have yet to find a real company. The only paying company was through a company my Aunt worked for that I actually got paid for data entry. Otherwise, I never got paid but lost money. You feel violated when you are scammed. When people ask for more information, why do they ONLY want a quick overview of something? In order to make an informed decision you need all the facts. You need to do some research: • Check the company out with the better business bureau. • Remember products are involved otherwise it’s not legit. Read about those products and see why they are different and if everyone can use them. • Go to their website • Get a brochure or PDF file with more information about them on it. • Is it a team environment? Will they help you achieve your goals or just sign you up? • Do they refund your money and how much time do you have? • Do they have start-up costs? How much? • Email, call and ask questions When you do your homework by researching and ask questions you have the information to make an informed decision. I’ve learned that when you just want a 5 minute overview you miss a lot of details. Not everything can be summed up in 5 minutes. I thank you for taking the time to read this over. I hope you have learned something and I hope you use this information to find what you are looking for, freedom.

Geocaching getting back to the great outdoors
Geocaching is a GPS (Global Positioning System) hide and seek game, where hiders hide containers (called 'caches' or 'geocaches') anywhere in the world, record the coordinates, and post a listing on a website for hunters to seek. Hunters can use a handheld GPS unit to get close, but then must use their wits to find the cache and log the find. A typical cache can be any size and may be camouflaged, in order to make the hunt more challenging, and usually contains a logbook for the hunter to sign and usually some small trading items of little monetary value. In May 2000 the government announced their decision to stop the intentional degradation of GPS signal accuracy. In effect, this made civilian use of GPS systems much more accurate and many times more useful than it had been previously. On the day following this announcement the first geocache was placed by David Ulmer in Oregon. Ulmer's idea was simple: The hider would hide a container, note the coordinates with his GPS unit. The seeker would locate the container using the given coordinates, make a note in the logbook, then trade items. It only took a few days for the cache to be found and reported online, and a new outdoor sport was formed. The sport has grown considerably since its humble beginnings. At this writing there are well over ј million caches hidden around the world. Odds are that there is a cach close to you. I found my first cache after discovering that one was hidden less than a mile from my home. I guess you could say that I got hooked immediately, since I have found many since then and even hidden a few. Our family likes to go geocaching as a family activity. The weekends will usually find us in one of our local parks wandering the woods looking for caches. Here's how we normally do it: 1. We go to GeoCaching or TerraCaching to find a good cache close to the area we want to hunt. 2. We print out the cache pages (or alternatively load it into our PDA). 3. We load the coordinates into our GPS unit and set our GPS unit to navigate. 4. We load up our cold drinks (we go caching in Texas, so we have to stay hydrated) and our trade items. 5. We drive to the coordinates and start looking. The cache listing and log entries usually have some hints and can tell us what kind of container we're looking for. 6. Once we find the cache, we log our find in the cache logbook. 7. We trade a few trade items (usually inexpensive trinkets and toys). 8. Once we get back home, we log our find on the listing website. 9. I also like to write a blog entry about our outing on my geocaching blog at CachingAdventures so that I can tell interesting stories about our outing that just don't fit into the regular log entries. It's not unusual for my family to find 3 to 5 caches in one outing. Other more aggressive cachers will do 10 or 20 or more. An enjoyable cache might be in an unknown park, an urban wilderness area, or a mind-bending puzzle. We have enjoyed getting our sedentary, internet-connected, couch potato bodies out into the great outdoors breathing some fresh air. Finally! A good reason to go outdoors again!
Great tips on how to kneeboard
Kneeboarding is an excellent place to start if you are new to boat-towed water sports. This is because of the low center for gravity, which means you can get up on your board easier than with sports such as waterskiing and wakeboarding. What do you need to get started with kneeboarding? First you need to select between two types of boards. There is a trick board and a slalom board. A trick board will have a lot of curvature on the bottom with thick rails while a slalom board is flat on the bottom with sharp rails. Slalom boards can also have fins although this is typically not good for trick boards. A few boards can even be found with retractable fins so that you can use them in both roles. Once you have the necessary equipment you next need to focus on how to get yourself out of the water and on your way to doing neat tricks. The most common method of starting when it comes to kneeboarding is the belly start. You start out lying on your board on your stomach with the strap pointing towards the front of the board. Make sure the nose of the board is sticking up out of the water. Grasp the rope with one hand while using both hands to grasp either side of the board. Then once the boat starts moving you should pull your knees forward so that they fit into the padded knee-wells of the board. When doing this it is important to keep your weight back and don't lean too far forward. As you gain your balanced feeling you get let go of the rope with one hand while pulling the strap over your knees. Make sure you tighten the strap until it feels secure. While doing this try to keep your arms extended and slightly bent. Now that you are up and moving you need to know how to properly steer your kneeboard so that you can be prepared to learn some neat tricks later. First make sure you grab the handle with your palms down or for some it is more comfortable to steer with one palm down and one up. Either way, find a grip that is comfortable for you and then place your hands a couple inches apart on the handle for the best control. Then when you want to turn left you can pull the handle towards your right hip while leaning your head and torso to the left. For right turns it is the same thing, you pull the handle towards the left hip while leaning your head and torso to the right. For sharper turns you simple pull and lean harder. When turning be sure to keep your weight on the trailing rail of the board. It is best to start with slalom like motions when turning on a kneeboard until you get used to it. Before venturing outside the wake keep your turns within the wake. This way you can get all the necessary practice before venturing into the more difficult maneuvers.
